DON’T. / THE USEFUL STUFF
Privacy policy.
Disobey the game. Understand your privacy. Here’s what happens to your information when you play DON’T. or visit this website.
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. Who we are
DON’T. is an iPhone and iPad game developed by Jon Miller. This policy covers the game, this website and support enquiries. Jon Miller is responsible for personal information received directly through support.
The game does not require a developer account and contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Game progress is stored on your device. If you are signed in to Apple Game Center, leaderboard scores are sent to Apple.
2. Data stored on your device
The game saves your tutorial completion, daily results, streak history, personal bests, recent failed challenges and scores waiting to be submitted to Game Center. It also creates a random installation value used to vary challenges. This value is not an advertising identifier and is not sent to a developer server.
This information is kept in the app’s local storage so the game can remember your progress and prepare challenges. DON’T. does not operate a developer server that receives your gameplay history. Your device’s backup settings may include app data in an Apple or computer backup.
3. Motion and touch input
Some challenges use the accelerometer or device orientation to recognise a shake or turn. Touches, swipes, gestures and drawings are processed on your device to decide whether you completed a challenge.
Raw motion and touch input is not uploaded to us or kept as a recording. Motion updates stop when the challenge ends or is paused. The game does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or photo-library access.
4. Apple Game Center
DON’T. uses Apple Game Center for Infinite and Three Minutes leaderboards. When you are authenticated with Game Center, the app submits scores with your Game Center player identity. A pending best score is stored locally and can be submitted when authentication or connectivity becomes available.
Apple processes Game Center account and activity information under its own policy. Your nickname and scores may be visible to other players. You can play the game without signing in to Game Center; the 1v1 mode is played on one device and does not use online matchmaking.
Manage Game Center sign-in and privacy choices in your device settings. Signing out stops new submissions while signed out; it does not remove scores already submitted to Apple. See Apple’s Game Center privacy information for its data practices and controls.
6. When you contact us
If you email for help, we receive your email address and the information you include, such as your device model, app version, issue description or screenshots. We use this information to reply, investigate problems and handle privacy requests. Please do not send passwords, payment details or information unrelated to your enquiry.
We process support correspondence for our legitimate interests in assisting players and maintaining the game, and where needed to meet legal obligations. Our email service provider processes messages to deliver and store them. We do not use support messages for advertising or sell personal information.
7. This website
This website does not add advertising cookies, analytics scripts or tracking pixels. Images and webfonts are served from this website. Fonts already installed on your device may also be used; your browser does not contact a third-party font service.
This website is hosted by Cloudabove (SWBroadband Ltd). Its servers record visitors’ IP addresses, browser and operating system details, requested pages, access dates and times, and referring pages.
These records help provide technical support, protect the website, measure service usage and produce hosting statistics. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure website for this processing. Cloudabove acts as our hosting provider and data processor.
Log retention depends on the hosting service. Cloudabove says these records are kept no longer than needed for their stated purposes. You can contact us about website data or read Cloudabove’s privacy policy for more information.
8. Retention, deletion and your rights
Local progress remains until you delete the app and its data or remove it through device storage controls. Offloading the app can retain its data. Reinstalling from a backup can restore previous progress. Deleting the app does not delete Apple’s Game Center records or copies in backups; manage those separately through Apple.
Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal requirements. You may ask us to delete correspondence we hold about you. We cannot retrieve local-only progress from your device or delete information held independently by Apple.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us to make a request. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
9. Children’s privacy
DON’T. does not ask players to provide a name, age, email address or other personal details to play. It contains no player chat or developer account registration. Parents and guardians can manage Game Center features through Apple’s parental controls. If a child has sent personal information to us through support, a parent or guardian can contact us to request deletion.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the game or our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be explained here and, when appropriate, in the app.
Email Jon Miller at apps@jonmiller.uk for support or privacy requests.
